Salmon & Halibut Fishing Guide
Jeff Hale
Jeff Hale was born and raised in Cowichan Bay on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
He spent his childhood fishing Tofino with his Father, Grand Father and Uncle who also have the fever for catching big fish. Numerous early morning salmon fishing trips yielded countless Tyee (30lb+ Spring/Chinook) and all other species of fish.
When Jeff was 12 he hooked and landed his first salmon over 40 lbs after that his future was set.

Jeff started taking clients of his Dads out on morning salmon fishing trips in Tofino and Ucluelet at an early age, learning what a Tofino salmon fishing guide was all about. Numerous seasons’ employed as a salmon fishing guide were spent in Rivers Inlet, British Columbia chasing big Spring/Chinook and Coho and fine tuning the art of Halibut fishing.
Jeff knew Tofino & Ucluelet on the West Coast of Vancouver Island as quaint fishing towns with incredible beauty and wilderness. Bear, sea lions, sea otter, whales, eagles and other wildlife became a great interest to Jeff as he grew up.
Now, still picturesque except transformed into a tourist destination, his home Tofino puts through a million visitors a year. The beauty of Tofino as well as meeting his wife and raising children has made Tofino so special to him.
Jeff’s 23 years as a salmon fishing guide & fishing experience makes him one of the top Tofino guides. He looks forward to showing his clients some of the secret holes that he has found over the many years as a salmon fishing guide on the West Coast Vancouver Island of Tofino.
